Copius Consulting offer a full proof business planning service to our clients. Business Plans can take on various shapes, sizes and styles depending on who the business plan is for. Our meticulous cash flow forecasting is the highlight of all of our business plans.
Below are some examples of work in this area:
Crusaders Football Club - Copius prepared an executive business plan to demonstrate the viability of changing their main playing pitch (grass) to a synthetic surface (3G) and detail the financial dividend that the club may experience from this idea. The business plan was then used as an integral component of making a successful submission to Sport NI's 'Places for Sport' Funding programme.
Result: Crusaders Board agreed to change the pitch and we helped secure approx £250,000 for the club.
NICVA - Copius Consulting successfully tendered to carry out a market research and business planning exercise for Northern Ireland's Leading Umbrella Community and Voluntary Organisation. Copius Consulting were asked to consider the commercial viability of NICVA establishing a Social Enterprise that would provide specific financial and human resource support services to organisation in the sector. After consultation with over 300 groups, 8 focus groups and detailed discussions with the Senior Management Team within NICVA, Copius prepared a business plan which detailed the positive viability for the business.
Result: NICVA established 'SECTOR MATTERS LTD' in January of 2010. In addition, Liam McStravick from Copius Consulting was asked to be a Board Member of the new enterprise.
The Kingswood Foundation (Bristol) - In November of 2009, Copius Consulting received a distressed call from 'The Station' Project in Bristol, claiming that their proposed £5 million of public funding from the MyPlace programme was under threat because if their inadequate business plan. After an initial discussion and problem diagnosis, Copius Consulting deployed a 'crack team' of Senior Business Planning Consultants to Bristol. 4 staff spent 2 weeks in the offices of 'The Station', working directly with senior staff, stakeholders, landowners and funding agencies. A very detailed, thorough business plan was prepared, enabling the Kingswood Foundation to have their £5 million of capital funding reinstated.
Result: £5 million of public funding reinstated, transfer of grant from Young Bristol to the Kingswood Foundation agreed with Big Funding and project on course to be completed as planned.
