Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea - Copius Consulting were commissioned by the Head of Youth Services to investigate the possibility of creating a 'world class youth facility' within the Borough. A robust 'Options Appraisal' was carried out on 9 identified sites, resulting in 2 sites being deemed fit to host the new Youth Facility. Copius Consulting recommended both sites based on a strict scoring matrix that was developed in partnership with the local authority and a range of funding agencies

Result: Elected members accepted the proposal to progress the two sites and the Borough are at an advanced stage with making large scale public funding applications to enable the development of the World Class Youth Facility.

Lower Ormeau Residents Action Group (Belfast) - Copius Consulting were commissioned to ascertain the potential for the organisation to acquire a vacant piece of land close to their landmark community facility from the Department of Social Development. Part of the brief was to establish what could built on the site to support the work of LORAG, to meet the community's needs and would be easily completed in the next five years. Following a thorough options appraisal, Copius Consulting worked with our own architect and design arm to create a social housing scheme that was accepted by the Board at LORAG and the local community.

Result: Proposed social housing scheme accepted by Board and Local community. Project currently in development stage and negotiations ongoing with the Department of Social Development.
