EC1 New Deal for Communities - Copius Consulting were contracted by the EC1 New Deal for Communities organisation to undertake a feasibility study and subsequent business plan for the amalgamation and establishment of a united Youth Providers Forum for the EC1 area of Islington, London. This forum recognised changing 'market' conditions and the transition towards increasingly 'commissioned' services, therefore came together to develop a viable entity capable of positioning themselves for commissioned / contracted work from the local authority and other appropriate agencies.
North Liverpool Positive Futures - Copius Consulting were engaged by North Liverpool Positive Futures, an element of the local, Vernon Sangster Community Trust, in North Liverpool to consider the governance requirements and necessary steps needed, to secure the longer term sustainability of the organisation and the impressive array of community activities and services they provide. The Vernon Sangster was a former community facility, planned for closure amidst plans for relocation to the new Liverpool FC Stadium in Stanley Park. North Liverpool Positive Futures have become an essential foil for the entire local community in youth engagement. The organisation needed to become more than a bank account for the community centre in order for longer term sustainability to be secured.
Eastside ABC (Belfast) - are amongst the most progressive boxing clubs in Northern Ireland, producing local, regional and national champions on an annual basis. The club operate from very humble surrounds, based within a dilapidated, leaking building in East Belfast. The building was purchased and then donated on lease to the club by President, Alan Wilton to enable the club to secure necessary funds to create a purpose built gym for existing and future members to flourish. This required a full organisational overhaul, with revised policies and procedures created to enable the club to position themselves for such funds.
Result: By working with these groups, Copius Consulting have been able to assist them in becoming more effective and efficient organisations, ensuring the lasting delivery of 'essential' local community services, people have come to expect.
