Meet The Team
Liam McStravick – Managing Director

Liam is the current senior partner of Copius Consulting and has 10 years experience working within the community and voluntary sector. Educated with a 1st Class honours degree and an MA, he believes that the success of the company has been down to his respect for all those that work within the voluntary sector.
Liam previously worked for Sport NI, Belfast City Council, Sports Belfast and has been a significant influence in developing many of Northern Ireland's most significant community development projects. Some of these project enclude the Community Empowerment Partnerships in North Belfast, the development / refurbishment of over 70 community based facilities, securing in excess of £35 million of public funding for community groups in the previous 5 years.
Darren McArdle – Partner

Darren is the Northern Ireland regional director of Copius Consulting. Educated with a BSc, Darren has held high profile positions in Armagh City Council, Lisburn City Council and Coaching NI. Darren has supported the development of over 125 community based groups with action planning and visioning over the past 5 years and has been solely responsible for securing over £15 million of public funding for those 125 groups.
Innovation and foresight are strengths of which Darren is immensely proud, feeling that the most productive way to grow people and communities is to challenge thinking. In his previous roles Darren developed an extensive network of community, youth, voluntary and statutory body contacts in a range of diverse disciplines.
Fiona Murphy – Associate Director

An Economics graduate from the University of Ulster, Fiona is identified as someone with great endeavour to succeed.
Fiona has been with the team at Copius from December 2005 and was promoted to Consultant in August 2007 and then Associate Director in March 2008. During her time with Copius Consulting to date, Fiona has led on a range of projects, acting as lead consultant on projects such as, a Youth Strategy for Cliftonville Community Empowerment Partnership, a Business Plan for the development of a GP Surgery & Social Enterprise Project for Holy Trinity & St Silas Church, a Business Plan for the Relocation of Ardoyne Shankill Health Partnership to name a few.
Fiona now manages all of the community development projects and leads a team of 4 highly skilled and productive consultants.
Robert Crowe – Associate Director

A BA (Hons) Sport and Leisure Studies graduate from the University of Ulster at Jordanstown Robert has held a number of development and management posts. These have included roles with NICSSA Sport & Leisure (Sport & Leisure Development Officer), CSSC Sports and Leisure (Business Development Executive), South East Sports Development Committee (Regional Sports Development Officer) and Coaching NI (Training & Development Manager).
Throughout this period Robert was responsible for the development and delivery in a range of work areas including; strategic and business planning; event management and delivery; and the development, production and delivery of non-sports specific training for coaches and volunteers within NI. Robert liaised heavily with local, regional and International agencies to deliver these projects effectively.

- Programme / project planning and delivery
- Training and Course Development
Robert was promoted to Associate Director in March 2008 and manages a team of 4 highly skilled and competent sports development consultants. Robert is responsible for managing over 75 local sports contracts and developing the sports development arm of the business within NI.
Terry Conroy – Research Assistant

Currently a Sports & Exercise Science student at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, Terry joined Copius Consulting on a year long placement in September 2007.
Terry works with clients on a daily basis, offering background support to other members of staff, including research and administrative duties.
